And we also met other acquaintances in the harbor, Because the Sy Feluka was still on the jetty in front of the shipyard and also the Sy Loni 3 Had fixed again in the port. Such a big and fun round there was a lot to tell everywhere :-). So our little excursion also took significantly longer than planned, Because time literally flies into a nice company. We then spent the evening on the sy via, that we hadn't seen for a while. With a delicious port wine we were also able to give a few tips for their planned visit to Barbuda. The three had to continue sailing tomorrow, Since you friends in sts. Barth wanted to take on board :-(. So we easily made an appointment for the BVIs for early March, der wahrscheinlich letzten gemeinsamen Station unserer Reise 🙁 , denn Ende April müssen sie der Karibik schon wieder das Heck zeigen.
Während mir die erste Reihe genügte, Dietmar preferred to be in the middle of it all and set off with the dinghy to the regatta field. Also the SY QUOKA 8 and the SY SOUTHERN CHILD, who sailed the Atlantic with the ARC this year, were there. But we missed the announcement of the results today, because we had an appointment on the other side of the island for a special event. Every Thursday and Sunday, the sunset is celebrated on “Shirley Hight” with spectacular views and musical accompaniment. Even if the weather was not very promising for tonight, We set off with Sylvia and Ralf from Sy Feluka on time at four o'clock. The crew of the sy loni 3 we would then meet at the scene. After almost an hour of taxi, we reached the south of the island and were very amazed at the size of the event. Along the access road, both sides were delivered with cars and taxis and the viewpoint were determined 400 People gathered and in the best party mood. The organization was impressive. Various delicacies sizzled on several grills and you could enjoy amazingly un-Caribbean dishes (because damn expensive) Buy food and drinks at prices. Eckhardt was even able to save us a place at the table and a little later everyone was well looked after.
